The Pet Bakery was formed in 2004 by Bernard and Roisin because we love pets.

We wanted to be able to provide them with a treat that was extra special, not a mass produced multi coloured biscuit that bears no resemblance to any proper biscuit we've ever seen.

We started researching what treats were already available and were unimpressed to say the least; most of them look as appetising as mouldy bread.

We set to work coming up with our own recipies,baking them in our kitchen and trying them out on all the dogs we knew until we and more importantly the dogs were very happy with them.

We also set ourselves a few rules to stick to:

  • Only use human food quality ingredients - if it's not good enough for me then it's not good enough for my dog.
  • No artificial preservatives.
  • No added salt.

After a lot of trial and error we finally came up with Chicken Crunchies and Sunday Roast Bones which are still two of our best sellers.

We are an innovative company constantly dreaming up new and exciting ideas for dog treats such as bones dipped in carob (a dog safe chocolate alternative) and an entirely new product, yogurt based dog icing for that extra special treat. And have recently developed a new low fat Gluten free Biscuist.

We always welcome comments and suggestions from pet owners on our existing products and on ideas for new flavours and are happy to reply to your comments.

My two dogs Kenya and Ollie love these biscuits. They sit by the cupboard and won't move until they have their treat.
